Michael Blackburn, Handbells

Mr. Blackburn, or Mr. B as the students call him, teaches Handbells to students in grades 7-9. He was an original member of Ring of Fire, TVA's world-renowned handbell choir, and has returned to teach bells at the school to give current students the chance to learn to play handbells like Ring of Fire did.

Mr. B has a Masters of Architecture with an emphasis in Urban Design from Andrews University. He has also been a freelance designer, doing videography, photography and graphic design. He renovates houses in his free time. Though not the typical background for a teacher, his experience brings a wealth of knowledge to TVA, and we are glad he is part of the TVA team!
