Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Open house is for current students and their families, prospective families, alumni, friends and anyone that wants to come. We look forward to seeing you there!
Registration packets for returning students for 2018-2019 will be emailed to families on Friday, March 9, 2018.
Re-enrollment for returning students will be open on Monday, March 12, 2018. We are having an Open House $50 registration incentive if you register by March 16, 2018.
On March 16th, the registration fee will be $75. Additional registration details will be sent by email from the principal soon.
There will be computers available in the elementary building at Open House for anyone who would like to receive assistance with registration.
During the next couple of weeks, we will also be conducting a school wide survey. We value your input on what we are doing well at TVA and on how we can continue making improvements at our school to better meet your needs. We look forward to seeing you at our Open House!

March 17-April 15: Registration fee is $75
April 16 - May 15: Registration fee is $100
May 16: Registration fee is $125
2018 TVA Library Book Review Challenge
One of the many fantastic things about TVA is that our school is full of readers! Open House is the perfect time to showcase the wide variety of books that our bookworms enjoy. Our Open House display this year will feature short book reviews written by students.
Copies of the book review form are attached to the Thursday Note and will also be sent home with students in their homework folders. Additional copies may also be found in the Library and in the Lobby and as an attachment to the Thursday Note. Parents are encouraged to assist their younger student in completing the form. If your student would like, they may attach a photo of themselves dressed as a character from the book or draw a scene or a representation of the book on a separate piece of paper. Our hope is to display the book that was reviewed next to the report, if space allows.
Each student grades Pre-K through 4th that participates will be able to pick one free book for their efforts. Book selections will be made after spring break during their class Library time. Each student grades 5th and 6th will be given a certificate to pick one free book (up to $5) from Scholastic Books in April. Students are welcome to fill out more than one book report, but only one free book per student will be allowed.
All Book Reviews are due by the end of school March 12th.

Volunteers Needed for Art Smart Show at Open House
Art Smart will be displaying the students art works from Q1 through Q3 at Open house on Thursday, March 15th 2018. We would like your help in setting up in the cafeteria. Please find below the schedule. Please call/text Mrs. Rachna Patro @ 503-887-3253 with days and time you would like to volunteer for.
During the Open House, please stop by to see the students amazing art work!
We have SCRIP (gift cards) available at the front office for anyone to buy. The next order is due by Tuesday, March 13th by 10AM.

Speed Stacks for Sale
Is your child into speed stacking? By the end of next week the school office will be selling different Speed Stacks and mats at a great price. Come join in the speed stacking fun!

The office now has See's lollipops for sale. Each one is $1.00.
The current flavors are chocolate and butterscotch, but we will be adding vanilla and coffee in November.
All money from these sales go to support Mrs. Wendt's wacky science program with Susie Scientist.
TVA Eagles Shirts
We are now selling TVA t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, and coffee mugs at the front office for $6.00 each. We have youth small, medium, and large. We also have adult small, medium, large, and extra large.
Spirit day is every Thursday so make sure you wear your TVA t-shirt on that day!
We have SMENCILS at the front office for a $1.00 each or 5 for $4.00.!
All proceeds will go towards improving the teacher’s workroom.
