Laura Springer, Sixth Grade

Mrs. Springer became a teacher because of her grandma's influence. Her grandma was a Christian woman and an excellent educator, and growing up watching her is what inspired Mrs. Springer to teach.

Mrs. Springer joined TVA's team in 2004. She has 16 years of teaching experience, has taught grades 1-8, and she has been a school principal in her previous job at Laurelwood Adventist Elementary in Gaston, Oregon. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and soon she will have a High School English Endorsement from Walla Walla University!

What does she love about her job? Working with the students and learning about new curriculum, theories and teaching strategies. One new strategy she is trying out in her classroom this year is literature circles.

Mrs. Springer brings a high-quality education to her 6th Grade students, preparing them well for their next steps into Middle School!
