Giving to Tualatin Valley Academy

Your gift to Tualatin Valley Academy makes a difference to our students and teachers in our school community. Gifts help bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a quality Christian education at Tualatin Valley Academy. If you would like to donate to the school, please click the link to the right.

We are currently fundraising for 3 projects - the tuition assistance fund, the walk-a-thon and for our handbell choir.

Tuition Assistance

A quality Christian education is not an inexpensive investment. A number of Tualatin Valley Academy families rely on generous donors to help bridge the gap between what they can afford to pay and the cost of tuition.

Annual Walk-a-thon

Tualatin Valley Academy's parent-run Home and School organization sponsors an annual Walk-a-thon to raise money to fund projects. The monies raised help the school afford big improvement projects that tuition just can't cover. Past walk-a-thons have raised money to recarpet the elementary building, update a computer lab and update the school's fire alarm system.

Handbell Choir

Help Bring the Bells Back to TVA!

Kids can do amazing things. Several years ago Tualatin Valley Academy had a handbell choir, Ring of Fire, made up of 7th-10th grade students that traveled the world. The kids learned much about music, teamwork and how to accomplish what many considered impossible.

Tualatin Valley Academy has been without the bell choir for 10 years now, and they want to bring it back. Michael Blackburn, a member of the first Ring of Fire choir, has volunteered his time and energy to teach the kids how to play handbells at Ring of Fire's level.

Help us teach the next generation of kids about teamwork, hard work, music and performance!

What do we need to bring the bells back?

Equipment. Ring of Fire traveled so extensively that much of the equipment is in need of replacement. This year we are hoping to replace the tables, pad covers and bell cases. If we raise above our goal, we will look at getting the bells professionally serviced and get some additional equipment.

Funding for student needs. We want for finances to never be a barrier for a student in the bell choir. Ideally we'd like to subsidize their uniforms, travel costs, etc.
