Each year our 9th and 10th grade students explore the rich marine ecosystems found along the Oregon Coast near Newport.  Our annual three-day excursions typically include a 3-hour boat trip with Marine Discovery Tours, collecting fossils and tsunami sand core samples, visits to Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and Seal Rock for tide pools. We have also done research experiments on fouling organisms.  We camp out at South Beach State Park.
