Kindergarten is in full swing now and it’s almost the end of the first quarter of school. We had an awesome time at the Kinderkonzert last week learning all about the brass family of instruments. Next week we are looking forward to our Bauman farms Pumpkin Patch visit on Thursday, October 20.
In class we finished with our letter “k” activities and will be moving on to become experts on the letter “m”. We will continue to work on comparing numbers 0-5 in math and start to add more on number sentences as well. Also, we will start a small unit on insects and transition into fall/autumn in preparation for our Bauman Farms visit.
There will also be a couple of volunteer opportunities coming up in the next couple weeks. The first is our first ArtSmart project on Thursday, October 27. This will be from 1:00-2:30 and parent helpers are always appreciated. Let me know if you are interested in helping with that. Also the annul Fall Festival is on Sunday, October 30. Kindergarten will have a booth and I will be sending out a sign-up sheet for volunteers to help with that sometime next week.
