You can help make it happen!
At TVA, we believe in our Christ‐centered education. We want to make it available to anyone, regardless of their financial state. While there are some financial assistance opportunities in place, not all students qualify. In order to make our school more affordable to those who need it, we have set up a special scholarship fund. This fund will fill in the gaps and keep our kids here at TVA.
There are a couple of ways to build this fund. One is to give a tax‐deductible donation. Another fun way is to purchase some cool TVA logo gear. All the profits from the sale of the TVA gear will go directly to this scholarship fund. You can show your school spirit AND make it possible for our school to grow! Please stop by and check out what we have to offer. We have some great TVA hats, frisbees, fidget spinners, guitar pics, pencils, bpa‐free water bottles, bumper stickers, and magnets.
Make your Thanksgiving and/or Christmas dinner preparation easy with a ready to bake apple pie.
Buy several so you can freeze some for a future treat.
Proceeds to benefit the PE department & after school sports program. This year our goal is to make 500 pies!
You can order them through one of our TVA students or you can place your order at the school’s front office by calling 503-649-5518.
Please preorder your pies no later than November 16th by 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $10 per pie
Pick Up: At TVA's cafeteria on November 19th between 1:00‐6:00 p.m.
Did you know that just by shopping at your regular stores you can earn money for TVA?
Through the SCRIP program, if you purchase gift cards to your favorite stores TVA can earn a percentage back.
For example, if you spend $25 a week at Fred Meyer and you use a gift card purchased through Scrip, the cost to you would only be $25 a week, but TVA would earn $1 for that week. Multiply that by 52 weeks and the school earns $52 for the year just from one family. If we could get 100 families to buy their groceries using the Scrip gift cards that would be over $5,000 a year of additional funding for TVA!
SCRIP funds go towards facility upgrades. In the past money earned from the Scrip Program has been used to buy air conditioner units for classrooms and the cafeteria and an upgrade to the Staff Work room.
We will be placing the first SCRIP order on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 a.m. Orders can be picked up on the Friday of the same week. Remember all SCRIP orders must be turned into the office no later than the 3rd Tuesday of each month by 10:00 a.m. and prepaid.
Click here for the order form. Checks can be made payable to TVA. If you have any questions, contact the front office.
Thank you for supporting our students and our school!
Welcome back students!
We've been getting classrooms ready, getting the campus ready, and most importantly, praying for each one of you. Let's learn, grow and have an amazing year!
The school office will be closed Thursday, June 15th and Friday, June 16th.
Starting June 20th the school office will be opened Tuesday to Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Have a wonderful summer vacation!

We would like to congratulate our Eagles Ladies' 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball Team on winning the Portland Metro Christian League Championship this season!
Led by Coach Stephen, the team was undefeated all season leading up to the championship game. They operated under a team philosophy of playing to their best ability, being positive and never giving up.
Coach Stephen had a strong positive impact on the team, with one member saying "The best thing about our coach was that he was always positive even when we were down. He also supported us and just taught us a lot."
Weaving Christ into athletics is an important part of Tualatin Valley Academy's athletics program philosophy. A team member noted "We prayed several times throughout the championships. And during the games we tried to work as a team. Our goal was to work together and finish it all." Prayer, dedication and teamwork paid off as the ladies finished the championship games strong and became league champions!
Lady Eagles, we are so proud of you. Congratulations!
Do you shop at Amazon.com? Maybe you shop there all the time. Maybe you shop there occasionally.
Did you know that if you shop at smile.amazon.com and choose Tualatin Valley Academy as your charity, 0.5% of every purchase of eligible merchandise will go to TVA?
You can help TVA by purchasing the things you would normally purchase!
No extra cost to you, no extra cost to the school, and you're buying the things you already buy for your household - no buying anything extra just for the sake of fundraising!
Smile.amazon.com is the giving arm of Amazon.com. It has all the same merchandise. You just have to be sure that you go to smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com when you shop.
So when you do that Christmas shopping or set up your subscribe and save items or buy a one-off something, be sure you're doing that through smile.amazon.com.
Thanks for supporting TVA!

Last week TVA students participated in our annual Week of Prayer, which finished on Friday with an Agape Feast. Students sat in their family groups (groups of students of all ages that do things together throughout the year), sang along with the student-led praise and worship band, had communion and learned about God from Pastor Marco. It was a fun, sacred time of drawing closer to God and drawing closer as a school.

We are offering Homework Club after school this year! In working with Student Services, Ms. Priddy has come to realize that students need to get support early in the year instead of just near the end of the year.
Homework Club is available in 2 options, 2 days per week:
Grades 1 and 2: Parents pick up their child outside the classroom. If a parent is not there, then the child is taken to BASE.
Grades 3-9: Students will be taken to BASE at 5pm. Parents can pick their child up in front of BASE. If a parent is not there, the student will be signed into BASE and charges apply.
Please send snacks/drink for Homework Club.
